I require silence
for moments
of clarity and thought
to thicken
like ice from water
turns from itself
into itself
then back again
yet unchanged
by change
still
a blur but not
as motion rather
a loss
like fire in wind
a shape then shifts
again before
a pattern forms
in the ash falling
like snow to the ground
